Good morning! It is time for another challenge at Midweek Magnolias and this time our theme is 'Anything Goes'. I decided this was the perfect opportunity to make my first Christmas card for the year. After all, it's not actually that far away in card making terms!
I have used what has to be my favourite Doohickey die ever - the Santa face from one of the Doohickey kits. The holly in his hat was also cut with a Doohickey from the same kit. I have added Stardust Stickles to the hat trim and pom-pom. Behind the image I stamped the Christmas Text stamp from Magnolia and used gilding flakes to cover it.
I have added some flowers from my stash in winter colours.
The Kort & Godt chrysanthemum and crystallised berries are from The Ribbon Girl.
Good morning! Today I would like to show you my Halloween treat boxes as a reminder that our new challenge over on the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog is up and running. I used a Sizzix die to make the cake boxes from green and black card.
Each box has a tag featuring a different mini Magnolia stamp. I have painted them with Distress Inks. Here we have Edwin as a Mummy - far too cute to be scary!
Another tag features Tilda as a Witch. Even with her face painted green she is adorable!
On the final tag I've used Devil Tilda looking amazing in her little red devil costume!
The boxes are fastened with seam binding from The Ribbon Girl in a gorgeous rich purple. I have used the cobweb Doohickey from one of last year's kits to cut silver cobwebs.
All of the flowers and berries are also from the Ribbon Girl with the exception of the dark green roses. I have added wisps of cheesecloth to resemble cobwebs.
I've also added some peeping out from the lids. To attach the tags to the boxes I have cut thin strips of silver flake web ribbon from The Ribbon Girl.
I hope you like them and I've inspired you to join us at Magnolia-licious. Check out the mini Magnolia World stamps in the Magnolia-licious store if you fancy creating your own Halloween treat tags.
Good morning! Our challenge this month over on the All About Magnolia challenge blog is 'All About Doohickeys'. A great excuse to use all of those gorgeous dies. I decided to make my entire card with Doohickey dies! Apart from the centre chipboard circle, everything has been made with Doohickeys.
The shape of the card was cut with a Doohickey from the Vintage #1 kit. The gorgeous butterfly in the centre of the Scrapinex circle from The Ribbon Girl was cut with the Butterfly Doohickey. I have topped the butterfly with a heart from my stash.
The flowers were all made with the Peony Petals Doohickey and beaded stamens from my stash.
The leaves were cut with the Rose Leaf Doohickey and the swirls with the Heart Swirl Doohickey.
I have also used several tag Doohickeys: Heart Tag, Tilda's Ticket, Vintage Tag and a frame from Doohickey Kit #9. All of the die cuts were inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink before assembly.
I hope you like it and I've inspired you to join us at All About Magnolia. Pop over to the challenge blog to see the gorgeous cards from the rest of the team.
Good morning! I'm very excited to announce that the Magnolia-licious store has re-opened today!! The store is under new management and I feel incredibly lucky to have been asked to return as one of their designers. To celebrate the launch all of the design team have made a card.
One of my other hobbies is archery so I decided to ink up Sagittarius Tilda for my card and given her red hair. She is painted with Distress Inks using the no lines technique. I've added stickles to her arrow tip.
The sentiment is from Stempelglede's Follow Your Heart stamp set and the scroll stamp around the edges of the image mat is from Stempelglede's Vintage Garden set.
The butterfly was fussy cut from some Pion Design papers.
The flowers and leaves are from my stash and the cheesecloth is from The Ribbon Girl.
The leaves were cut with a Doohickey die from kit 9 and the gorgeous straws are from Craft Heaven.
